CHOCOLATE – Knowing how to deal with chocolate stains quickly and efficiently can mean all the difference between a permanent stain or its complete removal. The sooner you attend to a chocolate stain, the easier it will be to remove. First take off excess chocolate from material using a knife or similar, be careful not to spread the chocolate to new areas of the fabric. Don’t rub the chocolate as this will make the problem worse. Rinse the back of the area with cold water (don’t use hot water). Rub in liquid laundry detergent and let sit for 5 minutes, then soak garment for 15 minutes in cold water. Periodically rub between thumb and fingers to loosen any remaining stain. If the stain is not completely gone it may be necessary to use a stain remover . Once you are satisfied the stain is completely gone rinse thoroughly. Wash as normal.
