laundromat near me

Laundromat near me in Chiang Mai .

Before doing your own laundry in Chiang Mai look at our low prices. Em’s Laundry Wash dry fold service will save your time so you can enjoy your holiday. Pick Up & return is FREE.

However if you are still determined to do it your self  here is advice from Chiang Mai Locator

And a reminder from Ems Laundry: 4 things to do before starting the washing machine

It might sound obvious but a few moments sorting through your laundry items can make a big difference to the end result:

1. Check clothing tags

Read the tags thoroughly to determine how the clothes should be washed dried and ironed. Most items will have mainly normal washing instructions. You might be surprised though that you have items that are meant to be hand washed or not dried in the drier. Pay attention to fabric types and colours. Set some items aside in their own “Special Care” pile.

2. Turn clothing right side out.

Make sure none of the legs of your pants, or arms of your shirts are stuck in the garment improperly. If you are washing overalls, take the time now to clasp the latches of the overalls to their proper buttons, keeping them from getting broken, stretched or ripped. If you had any clothing tags that instructed you to wash the clothing inside out, make sure you remembered to do so.

3. Check all pockets.

Failing to check pockets can leave some nasty surprises. We put so many things in our pockets, from tissues and money to mobile phones. Checking carefully can save time and lots of expense.

4. Check for sewing repairs.

Make sure there are not any loose threads, rips, button repairs, or other sewing repairs. If you find any, repair them before you wash the clothes. Washing them with problems will only make the problems bigger. Remember “a stitch in time saves nine”

5. Most obvious of all.

Make sure you have the correct coins for the machines, and some soap powder on hand. There are 7/11 stores everywhere in Chiang Mai so it won’t be too hard to buy what you need.

Washing Service Chiang Mai

Washing service Chiang Mai: Ems Laundry

We avoid this washing technique:

Best laundry service, book now

The above skit is by Winston Spear and is very funny. Rest assured we don’t practice that particular technique at Ems Laundry. Actually we pride ourselves on being the best washing service in Chiang Mai Thailand.

‘Em’ who manages Ems Laundry has been in the business for over 15 years.  She is extremely knowledgeable about washing clothes. Materials, effect of the sun during drying, soaps, softeners,  and everything needed to offer the best washing service possible.

We would love for you to try our service. Although we might not be the cheapest laundry in Chiang Mai our prices are crazy reasonable. Great value.

In fact if you consider the possibility that a less competent service might ruin your clothes, Ems is the sensible choice. Please give us a call, you will be very happy you did.

Remove Old Blood Stains from Clothes: advice from the best laundry Chiang Mai

Best Laundry Chiang Mai

Ems Laundry is the best laundry Chiang Mai, we know because of the hundreds of 5 star reviews we have. We would love to do your laundry. But of course we recognize that some folk like to do their own laundry. With that in mind we offer a few tips on various problems you might have with your laundry. This one is about removing blood stains.
Bbloodlood stains are really tricky to remove once they set. Removing them before the item is washed and dried is your best bet. Rinse the garment under cold water. This is the easiest way to get rid of fresh blood. Don’t use hot water – this could cause the blood to set in the fabric.

Use saliva to clean delicate fabrics. Believe it or not using saliva can be an effective way to remove blood stains. The enzymes in saliva that help digest food also break down the proteins in blood. It’s those proteins that make blood so difficult to clean. (best used on small stains). Gather some spit in your mouth. Spit on the blood-stained area. Rub the stains out. Soak the fabric in cold water. Disgusting but effective.

Try hydrogen peroxide next. This only works with wet blood. Before deciding to use hydrogen peroxide be aware that it may bleach certain fabrics, and can cause stains itself.  So use it cautiously, pre-test the hydrogen peroxide on a small area of the stained item. An area that can’t be seen.

Dilute the hydrogen peroxide with 50% water if you are treating delicate fabrics. Take care not to let the foam spread outside the original stain area.

Pour hydrogen peroxide on the stain.

Wipe away the foam using a cloth and pour on a bit of hydrogen peroxide again until the stain is gone or extremely faint.

Wash the item with cold water and your normal soap or detergent.

You can also soak the entire garment in a bowl of hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the clothing and rinse it out in cold water.

Use toothpaste on clothes and linens. This method is best used on fabrics that can be washed in a washing machine or thoroughly washed by hand or machine. Apply toothpaste on the blood-stained area. Let the toothpaste dry. Rinse the toothpaste away with cold water. Wash the stained area with soap and rinse thoroughly with cold water. Repeat if necessary.

Chocolate Removal

chocolate stainCHOCOLATE – Knowing how to deal with chocolate stains quickly and efficiently can mean all the difference between a permanent stain or its complete removal. The sooner you attend to a chocolate stain, the easier it will be to remove. First take off excess chocolate from material using a knife or similar, be careful not to spread the chocolate to new areas of the fabric. Don’t rub the chocolate as this will make the problem worse. Rinse the back of the area with cold water (don’t use hot water). Rub in liquid laundry detergent and let sit for 5 minutes, then soak garment for 15 minutes in cold water. Periodically rub  between thumb and fingers to loosen any remaining stain.  If the stain is not completely gone it may be necessary to use a stain remover . Once you are satisfied the stain is completely gone rinse thoroughly. Wash as normal.

Chiang Mai Laundry Service: Sour Smelling Towels:

towels

Chiang Mai Laundry Service:

If you have a problem with your towels Chiang Mai Laundry Service: Ems Laundry can take care of it. Contact Now

However if you prefer to do it yourself here’s a tip:

Whenever possible, always use a small amount of bleach when washing towels.

If not possible (for colored towels), pour a cup of white vinegar in the washer with the towels and detergent.

Don’t overload the washing machine as they will not have room to agitate and clean thoroughly.

Don’t let a washed, wet load of laundry sit in the washer for long. Hang out to dry or machine dry as soon as possible.

(Machine dry for a few minutes even if you have hang dried as this will give your towels a delicious “fluffy” feeling.

For a towel you are currently using, hang it so it can dry completely between uses; if thrown on the floor or folded over a towel bar, it can quickly mildew and begin to smell.

If you are looking for a laundromat or coin laundry in Chiang Mai here is a list of locations which we hope will help.

Gum on clothing

gumIt happens to all of us, you sit down to find that some kind soul has left a gift on the chair and now you have gum on your best clothing, here’s the solution: Egg whites.  Brush egg white onto the gum with a toothbrush. Let sit for 15 minutes and then launder the item as normal. Alternatively harden by using an ice cube or put in freezer for several hours. Scrape off excess.  When all gum has been removed, treat the remaining spot with an equal mixture of liquid dish washing soap and white distilled vinegar. Rub in gently and then wash the garment as usual.
